Share your experience with the next generation of Muslim lawyers

Become a MBASC mentor

As an organization dedicated to the professional development and social advancement of the Muslim community, the Muslim Bar Association of Southern California is firmly dedicated to cultivating mentorship relationships that will foster strong social bonds and increase career opportunities for Muslim law students.  With this commitment in mind, the MBASC Mentorship program will help partner mentors with mentees and provide mentees with benefits including:

  • Unique access to and the opportunity to interact with prominent legal practitioners on a one-to-one basis
  • Advice and counsel from someone who has already walked down the same path
  • The opportunity to develop a strategic career plan with the assistance of a successful attorney
  • Heightened awareness of career opportunities in the public and private sectors
  • The opportunity to network with Muslim professionals with diverse backgrounds from across Southern California

MBASC's mentorship program will match students with mentors who fit their needs, including those who have an expertise in a particular type of law; share similar interests, personalities or perspectives; and have clerked or worked in a particular field of interest to the mentee.  In the future, the Mentorship program seeks to offer grant opportunities for public interest work for summer law clerks, and scholarships for outstanding law students dedicated to impacting positive change in the legal field.
